(Duration Time:approx 08:30 – 12:00/13:00-17:00h)

Half Day Tour – Visit the charming city of Chiang Mai, which remains the principal religious center in northern Thailand and focal point for the construction of temples and monasteries. The moat bounding the historic center is still intact, but the walls were largely destroyed during the World War II – although their impressive four gates remain.

Take a one seat trishaw, pedaled by a strong driver around the old city area. You will pass markets and see the lives of locals who line the busy central road. Be captivated by the charm of the unique architecture, especially at the old temples. You visit Wat Pra Singh or Monastery of the Lion Lord, founded in the 14th century to house the ashes of King Kham Fu and to serve as the principal religious center of the Lanna Kingdom.

The complex is composed of several buildings of varying architectural and artistic merit that form the most famous temple in Chiang Mai. The Viharn Lai Kham gilded hall, decorated with murals of everyday life, houses the revered Phra Buddha Sihing image. Opportunity to attend the Monk Blessing Ceremony. The monks will chant their mantras and sprinkle holy water to bring good luck to the guests, while you will present offerings to them in return. It is considered fortuitous to begin the day with a Monks’ Blessing Ceremony to ensure business success and spiritual happiness. There will be spare time for a discussion with one of the Buddhist monks.
